Technical Definition:Ceramic single-hole packing ball is a spherical random packing manufactured by high-temperature sintering using industrial alumina and kaolin as primary raw materials. Available in five alumina content grades:ordinary porcelain, low-alumina porcelain, medium-alumina porcelain, high-alumina porcelain, and corundum porcelain, with Al2O3 content ranging from 20% to over 90%. Standard diameter specifications cover φ3mm to φ100mm in compliance with HG/T 3683.3—2014 industry standard. Compared with conventional inert ceramic balls, the single-hole design increases void fraction by 12% and contact specific surface area by 25%.

Core Performance Parameters:Key performance indicators of single-hole packing balls cover chemical stability and mechanical strength. Acid resistance ≥98%,alkali resistance ≥85%,Mohs hardness ≥7,water absorption ≤5%,and bulk density increases from 1,100kg/m³ to 1,600kg/m³ with rising alumina content. Taking φ13mm as an example, unit compressive strength ranges from 1,000N to 1,800N depending on material grade;for φ50mm high-alumina grade, unit compressive strength can exceed 9,000N. Maximum operating temperature ranges from 1,000℃ to 1,500℃ by grade, with thermal shock resistance differential ≥300℃.

Application Performance:The single-hole design effectively resolves the cyclotron resistance issue of solid ceramic balls. The curved fringe or convex surface structure enhances liquid redistribution capability and vapor-liquid dispersion performance, while also capturing and retaining coke fines, gums, and heavy metal impurities to prevent bed coking and catalyst poisoning. Compared with inert alumina ceramic balls, the single-hole design reduces flow resistance by 15% and improves liquid/gas distribution uniformity. The product complies with GB/T 18749—2019 Technical Specifications for Chemical-Resistant Ceramic Tower Packings, and is widely applied in drying towers, absorption towers, cooling towers, and rectification towers across chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical, and environmental protection industries, primarily serving as catalyst bed support and covering layers.
