Ceramic Pall Ring is a perforated ring-type random packing developed as an improvement upon the ceramic Raschig ring. Manufactured from high-purity ceramic materials through precision forming processes, the ring features uniformly distributed openings and internal web structures that combine chemical stability with mass transfer efficiency. As a classical form of random packing, ceramic Pall Rings are widely utilized in various tower equipment across the chemical, metallurgical, and environmental protection industries.

Ceramic Pall Ring features a cylindrical structure with equal height and diameter. Each layer of the ring wall contains five tongue-shaped window openings, with the tongues bent inward toward the ring center. The upper and lower window layers are staggered in opposite positions. The opening area accounts for approximately 30% of the total wall surface area. This configuration allows gas and liquid to pass freely through the windows, improving gas-liquid distribution and effectively utilizing the inner surface of the ring. Compared to traditional Raschig rings, the windowed design of Pall Rings significantly increases porosity and enhances mass transfer performance.

Ceramic Pall Ring is manufactured from natural minerals including kaolin, feldspar, and quartz, which are formed into a dense ceramic structure through high-temperature sintering. The material exhibits strong chemical inertness and excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion. The packing can withstand corrosion from various inorganic acids, organic acids, and organic solvents with the exception of hydrofluoric acid. Under high-temperature operating conditions, the product maintains good mechanical strength and chemical stability. Furthermore, ceramic Pall Rings possess high mechanical strength and low water absorption, resisting pulverization or deformation during prolonged use in highly corrosive and high-temperature environments.

Ceramic Pall Rings are widely applied in various tower equipment across the chemical, metallurgical, coal gas, and environmental protection industries, including drying columns, absorption towers, cooling towers, scrubbing towers, regeneration towers, desulfurization towers, and distillation columns. Specific applications include carbon dioxide degassing towers, acid mist purification towers, and ozone contact reaction towers. In the environmental protection sector, the packing can also be utilized in biological filters for wastewater treatment, providing attachment and growth space for microorganisms.
