The plastic polyhedral hollow ball is a core random tower packing engineered for superior gas-liquid contact in scrubbers, cooling towers, absorption columns and stripping systems. Manufactured from high-grade polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE) or PVC, each ball is formed by a spherical body with multiple half-moon blades arranged around a central reinforcing ring, creating a large, turbulence-enhancing surface without excessive weight. With a typical diameter of 38 mm, the ball delivers a specific surface area of approximately 150 m²/m³, a void fraction of 0.92, and a stacking density of around 25,200 pieces per cubic metre. These precise geometric characteristics enable uniform liquid redistribution, low pressure drop and sustained performance even under high gas velocities or thermal fluctuations, making the product indispensable in petrochemical, fertilizer, steel and wastewater treatment facilities.
