Compared with Raschig rings, pall ring packing has the characteristics of large production capacity, strong resistance and large operational flexibility. Under normal circumstances, the processing capacity can be 50%-100% larger than that of Raschig rings at the same pressure drop, and the pressure drop can be 50%-70% smaller than that of Raschig rings at the same processing. The tower height also has a pressure drop. The use of pall rings can be about 20%-40% of the packing volume than the Raschig ring.
