Ceramic packing has excellent acid and heat resistance, and can resist the corrosion of all kinds of acids and bases except fluoroxic acid. Ceramic packing can be used in chemical industry, metallurgy, acid production, gas, oxygen production, steel, pharmaceutical, fine chemical industry washing tower, cooling tower, recycling tower, desulfurization tower, drying tower, absorption tower and reactor lining. Ceramic packing has a variety of porcelain rings, such as raschig ring, cross partition ring, Pall ring, intalox saddle ring, super ceramic saddle ring, cascade mini ring and so on.

Ceramic raschig ring is a kind of bulk packing first developed. The shape is simple. It is a ring of equal height and diameter. Large size razing ring (more than 100mm) is usually filled in the whole way, and the razing ring below 100mm is usually packed in a disorderly way.

The cross partition ring is developed based on the idea of increasing the specific surface of the packing to strengthen the mass transfer efficiency. The cross partition ring is an improvement of the lacing ring. By adding a partition in a similar ring, the specific surface area is expanded and the compressive strength of the ceramic packing is increased. It is usually made of ceramic. Its structure is to add a cross 

partition in the lacey ring. Generally speaking, this kind of packing is only suitable for neat stacking due to its large size, and is generally only used as the bottom support distribution layer of pile packing. The diameter of Φ80-200mm cross partition ring can be used as support material, the void ratio is greater than 60%, the number is the integer.

Ceramic Pall ring packing is a kind of open-hole ring packing with equal height and diameter developed on the basis of ceramic raschig ring. Each layer of window hole has 5 tongue lobes, each tongue blade inner bending points to the ring center, and the upper and lower two layers of window holes are staggered on the contrary. Generally, the opening area accounts for about 30% of the total area of the ring wall, which makes the gas and liquid in the packing tower can pass freely from the window hole, improving the gas-liquid distribution. The inner surface of the ring is fully utilized.

The ceramic intalox saddle ring packed bed has a large void ratio. The shape of the ceramic intalox saddle ring is between the ring and the saddle, so it has the advantages of both. This structure is conducive to the liquid distribution and the increase of gas passage. Ceramic intalox saddle ring has high density, excellent acid and heat resistance, and can resist the corrosion of various inorganic acids, organic acids and organic solvents except hydrofluoric acid.

Super ceramic saddle ring ceramic packing is a new type of packing which is improved on the basis of intalox saddle ring packing. The smooth curved side of torque saddle packing is changed into serrated or raised side. In this way, the gap between packing is increased in the packing bed, so that it is more conducive to the flow and dispersion of gas and liquid in the packing layer, with the characteristics of pressure reduction, high mass transfer efficiency, widely used in sulfuric acid production of drying tower and absorption tower.
